FORECAST CHECK-IN:Â
My Forecast: Low: 44 F, High: 60 F, Precipitation expected with accumulations between 0.25" - 0.50"
Actual Weather Conditions: Low: 44 F, High: 58 F, Precipitation: 0.81"
This forecast is a solid one, with the low being spot on, and the high being only 2 degrees off. This forecast also showcased that the MOS could still provide useful accuracies during precipitation events. The HRRR seems to provide accurate lows, but aims too "high" for the high.
My precipitation range did miss its mark however, with the GFS being the only model to correctly identify the range. The GFS seems to be very good at spotting patterns, but not specific temperatures.
